For LaNell Arndt, a native Texan, the discovery of painting from
life, many painting trips with artist friends, and the pure
enjoyment of the outdoor landscape are the foundation of works
created.
Finding the incredible lights and shadows as they appear
all around us are inspiration for the next painting “en plein
air”. “I have painted all over Texas, many places in the U.S. and
in Spain, France, the Netherlands and Italy and am aware that each
new day brings another source of light and energy for painting out
doors.”
When at home on a miniature donkey and cattle ranch near
Brenham with husband, Bob, she often just paints “her backyard”. |
