Bill Holmberg
Bill Holmberg finds inspiration in the art
of Alexander Calder, African masks, flotsam from the beach or
junk he uncovers in the garage. He creates whimsical birds and
fish incorporating “found objects”, 3003 sheet aluminum and bits
and pieces from the hardware store. Combining recycled castoff
material and techniques loosely borrowed from experimental
aircraft builders, his work celebrates the nature of the
material and fundamental structure of the animal world.
Bill has degrees in engineering and art. His work has appeared in group and one man shows. His
wife Terry, an active watercolorist, provides artistic insight into Bill’s birds and fish as they
are being constructed. |
