James Offeman is renowned for his magnificent pastel portrayals of coastal birds, especially white ones.  Since childhood he has had a passion to paint the wildlife and landscapes of his native Texas.  He spends much of his time in the field sketching and photographing birds, then bringing the studies into his studio to create a unique photo-realistic style of painting using only pastels.
